[CPB 2019 Archive] Portfolio Review Documentary Photography

We invite photographers for a portfolio review who want to learn and improve how to build a photographic documentary by covering a story or creating a series. The review is aimed at committed photographers with a developed and serious approach to their topic. Photographers with a dedication to investing long periods of time and a zeal to investigate social, cultural, environmental and such subjects can submit your series for a session with the mentors. Students and professionals are welcome to apply.

About the Mentors

Jaisingh Nageshwaran, Selvaprakash Lakshmanan and Senthil Kumaran aim to tell a story through their photography. The three mentors have dedicated their time into documenting various social and environmental issues and are veterans in their field.

Application process:

Submit five photographs with a short statement of purpose, explaining what your series is about. Send all of the above to ‘workshops@chennaiphotobiennale.com’ with your name in the subject line, ex. APPLICANT: Varun Gupta.

Three students will be selected to receive a scholarship, please write to us with your scanned ID card along with your work.
